From varmint to vittles in 10 minutes

Penny and I have been trying to get her rid of this one rabbit all spring. Now of course there’s more than one. They’re very difficult to get a shot at because they’re always within 2 feet of thick brush. This one was young and foolish.

I like to draw direct line between hunting and food. In other words when Penny and I go hunting, we like to eat what we shoot. The only people food that Penny gets, is hunting product.

I will admit it’s been a long time since I’ve eaten rabbit. But with the recent barbecued rabbit and deep-fried rabbit posts I had to try. So we sautéed some rabbit in butter.

Penny ate most of it. But I must admit after trying a couple bites I found myself picking more pieces out of the pile and nibbling on them. It was a pretty small bunny.
