Free shooting bench

I'm certain that air gun shooters are as frugal as other shooters. I just finished the top to a new shooting bench and thought I'd share. Can Am dealers receive their ATVs and Side x Sides in wooden crates. The local dealer gives this wood away. That's what I am using. So far, my only true cost is a box of screws from Home Depot. Mine will be built to suit me as I am 6'9' tall. Just thought I would share.

I used to open those crates I'm not a fan but sometimes you get some good bits of wood out of them. Also of note everything they ship comes in a wood crate.

I use a 55 gallon barrel full of dirt and topped with a hunk of plywood. Solid as can be

Holy cow! I can see, other than just trying to save some money, why your building your own shooting bench...6'9"? Man, your a giant compared to me. Post up some pictures when your all done.

You call it frugal, I call it smart. I am currently finishing up a bench that I made from a pallet that solar panels came on, they measure 42 inches x 72 inches.
I will post pics when it's done
