Fox down

Bull dog barked this morning ,and got this gray fox.

Didn't call the fox in , I had let my dog out for his morning poop, I had seen a 8 point buck on my security camera but it wasn't legal shooting light yet,so I watched the buck take off when he saw my lab , 5 minutes later I stepped out and saw the buck was returning, so I grabbed the bulldog just to check him out ,I had already decided to let him walk for another year thats when the fox stepped out of the brush, thought it was a coyote in the nite vision. Took the shot ,neck shot no pss through ,quartering away, NSA 120 slug at 970fps, so I got a flashlight and went to check him out and was surprised to see it was a fox.

That’s a nice looking fox, you should pelt it out. I don’t know why more hunters aren’t taking neck shots, I find them extremely effective.

Yikes, couldn't identify target, good thing it wasn't a domestic dog , ie neighbors . By the way good shot.
