Four rats with my 1701p

Shot these four rats today. All at seven yards. Crosman 1701p sending Crosman Premier 7.9 gr. pellets. Scope at 3x, red light for illumination. I shoot them in that little slit trench you see in the background. Unless I get an anchoring kill shot they’re gone. Shot two starlings at 40 yards with my Bantam. Recovered one, barn cat got the other one. Glad I brought the 1701p along as the rats were “too close” for the Bantam.

Very nice, the 1701 seems perfect for situations such as that.

Luis, great shooting with your 1701P (BIG rats) and Bantam (starlings)! Very nice photos! Do you practice those short range shots with your 1701P? How much lower must you aim at that distance?

I get holdover brain freeze on close shots with my Taipan and need to start taking the ArtemisPP700.22 to dairies.

Thanks gentlemen... @ranchibi, I actually have to hold one mil dot over at that close distance. The 1701p is sighted in at 15 yards. @Johnnypdx, yes, the pp700sa would serve just as well.

Thanks Luis! My PRod is also sighted in at 15yds, a great in between yardage.
