Wow!! What a classic! You have the second version called the "single piece barrel". They can be made to shoot as accurately as a fancy European match pistol. Ron Robinson has a lot of info on simple tuning of these fine Crosman pistols in several of his books.

Do you know exactly what work Tim did? Valve, trigger, hammer spring, bolt nose, transfer port enlargement? Can you give us some chronograph numbers?

Thanks for sharing. A lot of folks don't realize how fine these gas guns are out of the box or how divine they can be with just a little work.

I didn't realize you pay any attention to the old Crosman classics, James. You're full of surprises, Bud.

On the other hand, I probably pay too much attention to them; on checking Airgun Chronicles I see no less than TWELVE 150s tested (including a few Ted Williams Match Pistol variants), and a 157 (.177 caliber). Any sane observer might call that an obsession! Good thing sane airgunners are few and far-between, huh?
