I really like the wood on these new stocks!

It’s a 1927 wheat back. I think it’s worth about $ .35! Ha ha It makes a great MOA coin, at least for comparison.

I just noticed I have the same scope on my 177 50 as well. Seems like the perfect weight and price point combo

That stock is on my .20 HW50S and I have the oldest HW30 from decades ago vortexed by some pro before I got the rifle from a PCP guy.
I am using Air Diablo Express .177 in the HW30 with GREAT success and recommend these specifically for the .177 in any model where velocity is prime!

Lt Dan! I can assure you the new stock shown is available at AOA in other HW model air rifles (as well).
It's a great stock in my mind with the right types of HW models. The Lighter HW models! At least to the HW50. What does a stock like this do for the HW95? I haven't heard.

Greenarrow, nice shooting. Don't you just love these HW guns? How fortunate we all are with ever tightening regulations on firearms that there are such wonderful, accurate air guns to use anywhere for pennies.
Regarding pellets, my wife's HW30 and my R7 really like H&N FTT's in 4.50mm but hate them in 4.52 mm, lol!
The 8.49 gr. H&N Sniper Mediums also shoot great in my R7. I tried them because they are similar in design to the 10.34 gr. AA field heavies which shoot as fabulous at 19 fpe as they do at only 11 fpe. The Snipers delivered, but their skirts are very thin and you almost need a pellet seating tool to seat them and smooth the skirts. Not sure if Sniper Mediums are still available.

I think it’s a great combo. Just wish that they offered a multi aim point reticle. Still works great and a perfect fit!

Thank you sir! I guess it could be like most things new, it takes a while to catch on. I wasn’t thrilled at the first but it didn’t take long and then I was wanting one for myself. Now I have it and I really like it!

Thank you! I DO love the HW guns. I have for a few years now. This is my 4th HW30S!!! Three I bought just this year.
. I still think my favorite is the HW95/R9 but these 30s are making their way up there. They are a very strong 2nd. Upvote 0
Nice gun and classy combination you have going with that clear ridge scope. I am digging the gloss. Now I have to get one of those for my R9.
A duplex reticle, when you learn to use it, has all the aim points you need inside of the range of a good springer. For starters you’ve got the crosshairs, and the transition from fine part to the thicker posts in the reticle. Halfway between the two gives you a good approximate spot.
A little practice and you can make it work, but also not being perplexed by 800 million things going on in a complex reticle A La HORUS or etc.

I found the JSB 8.44 4.52 work best in my HW30s, R7, R9. Makes stocking up a lot simpler. Try those also.

moving forward i'm purchasing clearidge over leupold. i think the glass quality is noticable side by side, but not enough to warrant 33-45% more cost for me!

Can’t say that I’m the best shooter but here was 5 for 5 at 28 yards starting cold. I need some practice. Ha ha! I’m getting ruined by shooting pcp.
