For those of you who deal with fittings and adapters

Sorry for the rant but how do you keep track of all the different fittings for this hobby? It seems because all these pcps and products are from different countries they all have their own threads and fitting. Sometimes it seems impossible to find a adapter and when you think you do it still does not fit correctly!

Even when you think you have the right thread sizes, it requires a different type of o-ring for it to seal correctly. It drives me crazy just trying to find a simple hose or hose end.

What web sites and fitting companies do you use to help you navigate through all this mess?

I buy everything I use from Best Fittings, in the UK. They make what they sell, and it arrives quickly in the states. When I recently purchased a Kral Empire X I was pleasantly surprised to find that the included fitting (from Kral) was made in the UK by Best Fittings.

Check out their website, sorted by brand-

I do buy one thing from AirTanks Plus, which is their KapMan fill port protector. I have not found anything else better made-

Thank you for the links..

Here is some of the stuff I had run into. For example I want a m10 x 1 female to m8 × 1 male. Where do I find that?

I bought a guage for my sk19 and it turns out it has a metric 8mm by 1.0 thread.

It probably would look goofy with the adaptor but the company does not make a m8 x 1.

I could try to use it for my hand pump but it is 1/8 NPT or am I wrong on that assumption? Because I'm thinking there maybe another fitting that is similar in size but uses a o ring at the beginning of the threads.

The HPA Foster or "quick disconnect" is the standard used in air rifle/paintball/airsoft. Its what your pumps quick connects are, and what the quick connect on most all guns are unless they use a fill probe. If your gun has a fill probe, it will have 1/8bspp male on the other end which you can attach a male QD with female 1/8 BSPP to.

HPA QD (Foster) and 1/8 BSPP are the standard connection types we use in HPA (high pressure air).

When buying connectors, always make sure they are rated for HPA or 5,000-6,000 psi.

I think I will have to. Just in this age of getting things right now. Getting something from overseas seems like a major chore. Thank you at least the email will tell me if it even exists.

You dont have to order anything from overseas, you can get the parts in any paintball shop or order online. Amazon, ebay, pyramyd air, utah air.

Everything HPA should be 1/8BSP, or 1/8 NPT for some paintball stuff in US. Hoses, regs, fill probes, everything should have this as the main thread type except for I think FX is the only one with the crazy threads so they can be different. foster/QD and 1/8 BSP are the standard. Of course to attach to tanks you have the DIN and CGA347

There are other sellers, in the US. Much of what is sold in the US is made in China. Some very good, some questionable. Prices are virtually the same when ordering from Best Fittings, or from companies in the US. This includes with the added shipping. My last order from Best Fittings (last week) arrived in 5 days; Royal Mail tracked. Everything is a personal choice.

Keep in mind that a lot of the threads on fittings from China are m10-1 and seal on top of a white Delrin washer. Metric threads are linear like a bolt and not tapered like US NPT threads that seal by getting tight.

And in the case with one of the hand pumps I'm dealing with on one end of the hose where it goes into the pump it uses a Delrin washer, on the same hose but the other end it has a o-ring on top of the threads!
