It is so very true that you are paying for customer service. It is essential. But, some people think if they spend more on a product, that it must be better than the less expensive model. Or, if that person you are purchasing it is very "popular" it must be great.

How about free. I have given so many things away for free and paid the shipping for it but you never hear about my stuff. Weird huh? I must be that guy.

So, With that being said, here are some free baffle stl files I designed for the marauder and the gauntlet. They are direct fit to the shroud and are much quieter than stock baffles. 9 will fit in a marauder and 5 will fit in a gauntlet. I guess I will share some more things too while I am at it.

If you have a 3d printer good for you and try them out, if not, get a buddy to print them for you because they only take about an hour to print. Think about these baffles when you purchase an LDC for 50 or more dollars.

I've no idea on 3d printing so wouldn't know if the files work or not but thinking they do indeed do so I thank you.

Saved them. Not sure what I could ever do with them as I've never heard of anyone with a printer around here. I have researched a bit and if I had a ready to print file I could go to the Public Library ( amazed me they are the only one showing in a local search) get up to 4hrs print time - they handle everything I you just hand them a drive- for free. Had NO use for that knowledge until now. Might just be worth the drive.

Nice design, have you tried a design that leaves the 90 degree transition into a 45 conical area at the base more in tact and move your perforated 360 degree flat forward say .1"? Not sure if I am explaining myself well but...the stock design on that which is copied from your standard conical baffle uses the 90 degreee to 45 degree transition because it is well known to scavenge air. It is seen on all popular conical baffle designs. Just a tip that I think would enhance your current design, which I do like...good job Tim.

Never thought the public library would have that but that's great.

Tim - my library has 4 printers. Only problem at mine is that that usually only have white filament. When they first got them they would change colors but that got too time consuming, especially when you are only allotted a specific time period. Can't complain for being free.

You know you can publish your files for download too, right? The site is in my below post from a few months ago when I made a cheek piece for my WildCat. It's been downloaded 24 times so far so at least it's helping a few people.

My guys at work usually do all their drawings in 2d for our shop but ever since I got a printer for us to play with they have been learning 3d. AutoCad was a little challenging and intimidating for them in 3D so I hooked them up with emachineshop free CAD.

Emachineshop 3D cad is as close as it gets to paint. Super easy and you can export as an STL file.

The great thing about emachineshop is that if their plastic proto-type parts work, they can send the drawing out to emachineshop for an instant quote for a production lot cnc'ed out of any material listed on their site.

Once I drew up a marauder valve completely worked to the bones. Cost for 100 pieces was under 20 bucks each. Weird how people sell them for over a 100 bucks huh.

I actually ordered 80 - 2.25" diameter 316 SS pulleys for 28 bucks a piece. Not too bad for SS. Our local cnc shop wanted just over 50 bucks a piece.

Posting here at AGN makes me feel like I am cheating on GTA but, it sounds like alot of people can use some hard southern (east coast) farm boy engineering and truth be had type of stuff that can be done fairly easily by themselves and save a buck for all those pellets we shoot into the ground.
