I used to hunt yotes in the cold winter nights, I would sit on tree lines or with my back up against hay bails and use a FoxPro(sold it) set up halfway between my spot and the heavy marsh and ponds, wasn’t so bad until the cold would get to me, I also sat out by barns during calving time and got a few that way, Fast forward a few years I’m now disabled so no more sitting in the cold or out by barns, I did pick up a lesser of a call and a mouth call so time will tell, I’m also limited to my new deer stand my sons built for me(I helped as much as I could, call it supervising)so I hope to have some luck out of it this winter after deer season, I’ll have my Buddy heater to help keep me warm so I’m kinda excited about it and hopefully my Texan will be dead on when and if the time comes to pull the trigger, I do have a couple yotes on my Stealth cam so I know they are out there plus the two dead fawns I’ve come across by where they hang out."Berky"You need to use coyote vocalizations. The wont come hauling arse in like a Fox does to the distress calls
Yep. I guess that’s the correct way to put it. The ones I’ve caught on my Stealth cams have been coming out of the swamp/ cattails/slough area of my property on the S.E corner and have been hanging around that area then move west along the creek and cattails and then back. When I’m back in that area with my dog in the daytime he gets realy skidish(spl)and wants to leave the area due to the scent..."Berky"Circling you...they are trying to wind you.
If I don’t watch my Airgun spending it’s going to be a 1 bedroom bachelor suite hahaha..."sonny"nice stand Imold how many bed rooms is that
Ive been a member there for many years under different user name. My main yote rifle is a Savage Bolt 22-250 zeroed in at 200 yards but now I want the challenge of the PCP, kinda like going from deer hunting with a rifle to deer hunting with a bow which I did 36 years ago, now I use a crossbow because of my disability from a ground blind but now I have my new deer stand and can’t wait to sit in it with one of my PCPs.
Nice, I can’t wait to get out at night in the stand with the Texan .45, If I get lucky and get a couple yotes with good pelts with the Airgun I’m having the wife find my hat pattern and I’m sewing myself up a yote hat but no head just fur and tail heeheehee..."Berky"Last season I killed 363 Red Fox, 2 Greys and 3 Yotes both trapping and calling. Now that airguns became legal for hunting in Pa. as of July 2017, I'll be doing all of my calling with the .30cal War Fox (Flex)
Can't wait to put the smack down on the varmints.
"Imold"My new .45 yote getter.

Very nice. I am looking for a .30 cal rifle and I keep coming back to Airforce because of the power. I like the features of other manufacturers but they all lack in power. Most .30 cals are around 80 ft/lbs and AF is at 200. That's a big difference. You could just dial it down and still have ample power.
Good luck with her.
