On, Canada
This target comes with stakes to plant in ground. I have 3 or 4 of them in the ground already.
After hitting them constantly, eventually they will wiggle their way into the ground causing the bottom target to come to a grinding halt, needing to replant the target. Also it gets really dirty from rain splashing mud on them.
I drilled a hole in the head and tail and hung from chains. 20772BF9-A71D-481D-8C35-A6F414E224D9.jpeg I have to cover most of top target for the challenge. Off the ground this should stay mud free. I also hung a tin can for 1st time, already put 40 rounds through it trying to split it.
Always looking for new targets. Any new targets you have or ideas let’s see them. Crow

I love that setup. Did you make those spinners or did you purchase them somewhere? I'm looking for a bunch of 1" and 1.5" to litter around my yard
A buddy I do trades with has a c+c plasmas cutter. He cut forTargets 1”,1 1/4” and 1 1/2“ round. 2”’Diamond. I had to clean and bend them. Used 1/4 “ rod with 5/16 id. pipe for spacers. Never have to replace them. Have 150. Crow

Lol no I only meant it as a joke like "why did he deserve to die like that???"

Sorry it was just a bad joke haha. I'm all for using recycling as targets. It saves money for more guns!
No bad joke. I’m waiting for the encore.
That was my first can, reminds me of a squirrel.
Can = shoot = tree rat. Crow

I like to keep the " gauntlet"

Stuff between 20 and 50 yards on tree limbs , ground , this and that.

Beats shooting set paper or somthing .

Short list of the run the gauntlet stuff.

I cit open cans so the lids hinge and hang them horizontal and just shoot the hinged lid only as tin can head shots. Hit the can body its a foul..lol

I think I would shoot a LOT more if I could put up a gallery like that!

However, the neighborhood I live in has houses very close together and I am already cautious about the noise of a quiet .177 hitting a cardboard box filled with newspaper.

If I was clanging metal targets, my guess is I would not be able to pest much longer. (heavy sigh)

Too bad for me as I love the setup! (y) :)

Whatever it takes to keep the challenge or interest up .. i made scale size templates and cut the "critters" out of old farm disc blades like the screech owl below. ( Not that i shoot real ones ,fyi)

If that steel lasts years turning a field it will be lifetime from pellet hits at magnum speed forever...lol

Then i just use cheap white paint to shoot head shot shots ( only). Below the neck is a foul as well...lol

I really like your targets. I hope to adopt some day. New targets are always cool. Thanks for sharing!
I have some .22 rim fire targets in shape of wolf. I use the leg or mouth or nose for bullseye, same idea.
I keep saying I’m going work on my range soon. 05685FC2-398F-457D-8E2C-9E7120445ABC.jpeg 20 tons of gravel to be moved first. Crow

I use all the plastic pill bottles and supplement bottles filled with sand or dirt. Drill the cap and take a paracord push through and knot. Hangem in challenging locations (safe locations)! Plink away you can recover your lead this way by screeding the contents of the battle worn bottles

For quick changes or portable i made these racks out of cow panel . Just stick em in the ground wherever, pull them up easy to move them. Got metal spinnres or spoons can hang paper using folder clips , Ect... In winyer the suns low so i like to turn things around to keep it out of my eyes , then summer i chang it all back its all movable and / or portable fepending on how feel or what direction i want to shoot .
