Fly hunting season fully underway

I set up a bait station and had a fun shooting session sniping flys at 15 yards with the HW44 .177, a good afternoon break!

You can see eggs in some of them, or eggs that “were” in them lol.

Pieces of raw chicken and a little canned cat food is the bait. I put it in holes torn in the paper so the flys land on the paper. It gives you a beautiful blank canvas to create your work of art!
Nothing like a squirrel carcass to bring in the flys though, and the orange and black carrion beetles show up fast too.
And as the yellow jackets start coming on in summer a chunk of chicken works great as bait, you can get hundreds of them and it’s fun too.
