I shot with it in competition at 100m. Took home third place. Its very accurate. And powerful.

As far as short vs long barrel. A long barrel doesnt make any gun more accurate. It can make them more powerfull and make them more efficient as far as air use.
But accuracy have nothing to do with long barrels.

I believe it is a 17-18 in barrel on the Flex but agree with that length really has nothing to do with accuracy but it does with power and effiency
I talked with Travis a couple months back and he said he can but a 24" barrel on it if you want when you order.

The power is there at 80 FPE and the gun is easily adjustable to get up to 115 FPE,
the accuracy is there and the gun is very quiet without a huge shroud/moderator and that shows great efficiency, so I wouldn't worry about barrel length.

The sound it makes is not like a high pitch silencer sound, but a very satisfyingly crisp "thunkh!" metallic in nature, but groovey.

Cocking effort is very smooth, and a lot easier than you would expect fromt he size of the bolt.

I'm used to butter smooth lever actions even on more powerful guns so I actually find the bolt action kinda combersome and definitely much harder

Bolt actions are a 1/1 ratio so obviously harder than a lever system. But as bolt guns go, this is definitely enjoyable.

Been shooting the gun a bit this week but I run out of pellets, waiting for the Pyramyd order to come in to resume getting ready and confident to hunt.
I'm getting used to the crazy light trigger
In the mean time here's some fact and also some subjective opinions.
The accuracy is really very good, the gun is quiet, the bolt action seem to be getting a bit smoother.
The gun uses a 7 shots Maurader Magazine
The Bolt action has some weight to it but is precise, you need to push the bolt all the way in to seat the pellet past the Transfer port before bringing it back and down ( I got lazy a few times and didn't do it
)
the Foster fill port is conveniently located on the side
the trigger is a Timney Calvin Elite
This Carbine is about 40" depending on your pull length
Easy take down for backpack transport for a 25" length
Objectively there's really nothing wrong with this solidly built gun,
But of course I have to give my Subjective opinions
I personally never been a fan of the Marauder magazines, since my guns are strictly for hunting I don't like those rattling pellets inside the plastic mag, also I'm not a fan of bolt actions I'm just spoiled and a sidelever or underlever actions fan
I realise that people love Bottle guns, but I've never been able to warm up to them and still don't like the looks ( from what I hear the FLEX comes in tube version too )
Back on the objective portion,the FLEX is well balanced with good Ergonomics and a good length.
Don't know the reason behind the stock design ( Travis can chime in on that ) but that handle sure makes for easy carry

I can talk too the design of the stock/handle. When I helped Travis and Jim designing the stock. I wanted it to be ergonomic, usefull and shed as much weight as possible without sacrificing strength or looks. So after a few rounds of iterations we settled on this.
Its well balanced, makes for comfortable carrying.

Im a blued steel and walnut junkie but that looks to be a great hunting gun. Nice thing about the rear stock is there are hundreds of AR options to choose from if you don't like the standard M4 type. How about a review when the weather clears up.

This week I'll make a video showing the operation of the action,capture the muzzle report sound and shoot a couple 50 yards groups in the process.

Today I finally got of my butt and shot a video.
In this video I wanted to capture the sound ( I tell you this gun is super quiet )
the Action manipulation, and all the while shoot two 5 shots 50 yards groups,.....I only shoot 5 shots because I get very nervous shooting paper so I wanted to keep the human element out and just shot the gun potential,
as you can see even for a poor shot like myself there's no reason not to keep those pellets in a tight rugged group at 50 yards, .....the gun is zeroed at 30 so that is the drop you get at 50.

That's some good shootin! Looks like around 1/4" groups CTC.
And yes it's so quiet you're fooled to thinking it's not very powerful, I took the LDC off and shot it once.....my ears were ringing, holly molly!!
