Fix impact repair

well had my gun for 7 months. Had to send it in for warranty repair. Received it back and took it out to shoot for the first time. Charged it up and now it’s leaking air out the right side hole. Great. Sorry I every spent the money on this piece of poop. Two repairs and not even 150 rounds through it.

the warranty period is a great time to learn how to work on the gun. Later on it will be too late
LOL
all pcps will leak sooner or later and it is part of maintenance to change some o rings anyway. so you cant avoid getting in.

impact is not easy to work on, but when you take it apart the3rd time sure, it will get easier.
many say, DIY is a part of the pcp hobby.

It does get discouraging when you have to send your gun in for repairs. I agree that when you spend that much money, it should be right. The seller should make this right for you. And if they don't, you have a legit beef. Learning to do repairs IS part of the PCP experience and even fun once you get the hang of it. Unfortunately, this could have happened to you no matter what brand of gun you bought. FX, over all, makes a really good gun.
Once you get things ironed out with this gun, you will go back to enjoying the hobby. Hang in there.

I feel your pain.My Impact is shooting about 200 fps slower in .25 for no apparent reason. Been back to AOA twice for repairs (for different reasons) and I haven't owned it for six months.
Other than the power wheel, I don't mess with the settings. For the thousands of dollars I have tied up in this gun, it would be nice if it worked as advertised - at least for a couple of weeks in a row.

I had problems with my Impact as well. When deciding whether or not to send it back to AOA, I opted to go to Ernest. I forfeited the warranty to get things done right. It had to go to him because the valve seat broke after I got it back the first time. This appears to be a design flaw which I hope FX will correct. Ernest recently put out a couple videos and at least one video shows him holding the broken part from my gun. I’m a Hollywood Star now😉

Warranty repairs usually fix the one thing that’s wrong, and often not even that. I got a polished barrel, enlarged transfer port, beautifully adjusted trigger and other adjustments in exchange for my warranty. The gun now shoots like a laser, I got some of my best 100 yard groups to date the other day. Haven’t measured but looks to be sub MOA. (Need to measure). ES is around 8-12 FPS. And reaches a top speed of almost 920 w/ Heavy MKII. I’m down around 830 for best groups.
Though I had hardware issues, I’d argue that even a Ferrari owner needs to pay have a specialist bring out its full potential. Rare to get that performance “out of the box.” So to me, money well spent. Now I just enjoy shooting it.
