First time weight sorting pellets

I've been wanting to check the weights on some of my pellets, so last night while my wife was gone and all was quiet I sat down with my scales and a cup or three of coffee. The pellets are H&N FTT, .22, 14.66gr, there was a new unopened tin and another with probably 75 or so. There was four weights about 85% weighed 14.97, 10% 14.81 and the rest were 14.66 and 15.12. It'll be interesting to see how they shoot.

Next will be JSB 15.89 and 18.13.

Lot of weighing going on lately! LOL The issue I had with the JSB 15.89's was skirts. I had like 18% failures!
Be interesting to so what you find.

Try looking at small gram jewelry scales. There's probably a jewelry supply local shop in your home town.

That's what mine are, they weigh to .00 grams but only.0 grain in .2 increments, also I have a 1.0 gram check weight that I used after every 15 or so pellets to make sure all was well.

1badDart can you do some 50 yard shooting and see if those different weights make any difference? I figure 50 yards is a good distance for target and hunting. I just wonder if that tiny weight will make more of a difference than my bad eyes and or barrel cant. lol

No better than I shoot I probably wouldn't notice a two grain difference, plus I haven't graduated from 25 yards. lol
