Wow, I almost choked on that big old humble pie
Two buddies and I are going to the National50 shoot in Raton, NM the first week of September.. I signed up.for both airgun and .22, thinking why not? I am making a 7 hour drive to get there....why not shoot em all and enjoy getting an education from the other participants??
I am pretty confident withy airgun and was confident with the .22...was. Apparently dinging steel targets does not translate to paper directly.
We put up the practice targets after a long warm-up. We don't have the plugs yet so scores were figured on the rounded holes in my printer paper. I shot my Kral .25 and a Savage mark II, while J. shot his own Savage mark II. The wind was 2-4 mph and mostly steady.
I have a lot of room for improvement. 191 and 194 for me and 206 for J.
September will be here soon. See y'all there.
