First Rats for my Atomic XR...🐀🐀🐀

After an 8 month drought of rat shooting on almost a weekly basis. My Atomic XR finally got a taste of rat. Went back to the ex Dairy at 9:00 pm this evening. The farmers wife had mentioned that they had rat issues. Saw at least ten in the area she mentioned. Shot four and recovered these two. I only stayed an hour as I am dog tired from the work week and it was only a scouting visit. Took them at 25 yards in the same hoop house I’ve been punishing the sparrows and starlings. I am super stoked to get back on the rats. Like my Jack Russell, Riley, I love killing rats. The Atomic XR continues to wow me as platform. It’s a versatile pesting machine.

Thanks Randall, I hadn't shot one since December 2021 and couldn't imagine when I would get another opportunity at them. I was delighted to see my old rat friends doing their nastiness, in fact I'm headed back out there tonight. Just can't resist whacking them.

Nice @L.Leon I was wondering if you were going to stretch the Atomics’ legs on some rats.

Was dying to get an opportunity on rats with the Atomic XR, it handles so well in tight and wide open spaces as per @Crosman999 and @Wingman115's in the field videos.

Nice shooting! Shooting them is very satisfying. Are yu using a night vision kit, like a Wraith or ATN X Sight?

I'm shooting in low light conditions inside a hoop house, so I can see them through my regular scope. Not as clearly as I'll like, but good enough for the kills. I also use a red light attached to my scope or on a separate tripod to good effect.
