First post - Where to oil Diana Mod 45

I have a DIana Mod. 45 T 01 Manuf. date: Looks to be 07 82. Very tiny numbers "8" maybe a "9". The top circle of the "8" is bigger than the bottom circle but it seems to be a full circle that is why I do not think it is a 9. See attached photo.

Anyway I see online that if it is prior to "88" that it has leather seals that should be oiled with silicone oil. I do not know where to apply the oil, can someone help me out here ?

I bought this gun new long enough ago that I don't recall exactly when. It is in excellent shape and still shoots well but if oiling the seal is a good thing to do...I think after 35 years it is probably due !

Thanks in advance,

Old-Duckman,

If you can stand the cost (which makes hardened men of the SAS break down in tears !), Krytox GPL-105 oil works superbly with leather sealed 'springers'.

Not only is it incredibly 'slippy', it is totally non-flammable, so cannot 'diesel'. Superb stuff :)

I paid the equivalent of 75 USD for 30 mL (!!!) in the UK, but you may find it less expensive in the USA.

Have fun & a good Sunday :)

Best regards

Russ

+1 on the GPL-105. Interesting to see someone else uses the stuff on spring guns. Last time i ordered, it was about 38.00USD with shipping for only a 1oz bottle.
