Hello i just ordered a Benjamin marauder came with a hand pump, magazine and 500 .22 pellets. I've only used springer's in the past was wondering if i could get some advice on anything i might need that didnt come with the bundle i ordered. yea i have multiple vortex scopes and mounts that should fit it, i live about 20 minutes away from Athens

Ok. If you are west of Athens and somewhat close to Stone Mountain- Lithonia, there are a group of us that shoot in Lithonia pretty regularly. There are a very wide variety of PCPs and we all shoot each others guns. All of us have been in airguns a while and there are no attitudes or selfishness. You are good to go, if your scope rings are dovetail mount and tall enough to clear the Marauder magazine.
Your hand pump will connect directly to the rifle via the Foster fittings. The pump has a female fitting, and the rifle has a male fitting under the protective cap.
Since you already have a springer, I'm going to guess you have barrel changing supplies for it already? If not, those are easy things to shop for and I'm partial to the pull-through cleaning patch method/system.

With my maurder those Benjamin hollow point pellets 14.3 had the best group group 5/8" at 35 yards consistant

absolutely powerful enough its all about shot placement,,just think the brits mow rabbits down like there made of gold ,,most of there rifles are set to 11 ft #s ,,12 is max for there laws ,,

Be sure to check out all the different mods that can be done to that gun...if that kind of stuff interests you. All kinds of customizations, tuning and such. A Google search should give you a wealth of info.

Don't have experience with the newer Marauders, but the Gen 1s seem to like JSB 18.1 in .22 (at least mine does) If you decide to get into tuning, you'll need a chronograph if you don't have one already. Rabbits will be no problem, just place your shot.

I would get a moisture filter for the pump. Also that brand of the pump is hard to pump above 2500 psi unless you are over 250lb.

I can attest to that. I used that pump on my Maximus with no problems but couldn't get my streamline topped off. And I'm 225 lbs.
I have a Hill pump now and it gets there with no problem. I always bring the Benjamin pump as a backup.

will the benjamin pump be good enough for now until i learn how everything works ect? and is the moisture filter something thats important enough to go ahead and order now before everything arrives?

You have an invite to other local airgun folks, GO! You WILL learn more in one day than a year of reading,guaranteed. Hands on shooting others airguns, airgun insite & history, maybe a very good deal on a used airgun you can test drive.
You made a great choice but had you stopped by my house or any club I've shot at even buying the same rig "I" might have suggested some slight differences in your order just to make your first experience even more fun. If using a hand pump trying a couple of different brands WILL teach you they are different, ... .
THE biggest flaw I see in your ordering is you certainly did not order enough pellets. Good thing it will likely shoot walmart cr hp's well enough.
Any airgunner that say's " let's get together" one on one or a club or ......... is good people, take them up on the offer even if it's a drive.

went ahead and bought 500 jsb 18.13gr pellets 500 crossman premier 14.3gr and 500 jsb 15gr plus what ever bran comes with the package to see what it likes best

My gun isnt here yet but ive been doing some research while i wait i see people mention regulators making the gun more accurate/consistent. Was wondering if it was hard to install one and how much it would cost for all the parts needed
