First look at Zan Slugs

Ordered 1000 a week ago. They arrived todsy from Europe. Packaging impressive. 

If they shoot as well as they look Zaza WOW.

They sent an xtra 100 in .218 as I ordered .217.

Now I need the slug gun. Wonder when??

I noticed that most brands of slugs look the same. I wonder what the subtle differences are between the brands? I personally shoot JSB KNOCKOUTS with good results and have shot NSA with good results also. I have a tin of H&N to try and they look like knockouts so I expect good results. I know the bases can be different and have had good results with flat and concave bases. I did buy some of Patriot slugs and they shot terrible out of my impact with a slug A liner. I guess I need to try some ZAN slugs.

Just came in from trying them in a Crown with a pellet tune on a 500mm heavy slug barrel. 

860fps .217 31 yards 3/8 group in two 5 shot groups slight wind.

850fps .218 5/8 group 5 shot group.

No tuning just shooting.

A side note the barrel seems to like 16gr and up pellets. Shot 5 different pellets in lite wind the other day and

5 shot groups at 41 yards all under 1/2" This is with and ATN 5-20.

I only got 4 boxes but was not aware they had 217. I shot 10 last night at 35 yds, they shot well but the real test is at 50 and beyond as many slugs open up drastically for me once I hit 50. Maybe because I don't shoot them fast enough?
