HI I have been tuning my Taipan for the MP slugs today ,when Fedex dropped off a new Pulsar N550 as the first one did not last me 1 hour of use .I quickly decided to put it on the .22 Taipan veteran STD ,I had zeroed it at 50 yards using MP 36 gr slug , With the Pulsar it has 3 profiles so I put on a label and id profile 1 Taipan 36 gr so now I saved it ,next I do one for 25 cal , and then the R-5 super long for heavy duty work .
after zeroing brought gun back in and mounted a IR-850 long range light to see clear a few hundred yards , I then mounted a mini flashlight and a red lazer off other rail as it only added 4 ounces to weight , then I installed an on and off switch and a waterproof case and budgied it to gun so I can use it in many ways such as having someone view what I am looking at so they are not bored sitting in dark , or if with others it can be sent wireless to a tablet or even hard wired to in essence you can also use a 7 inch tablet and have gun on a swivel bi-pod or tripod and shoot via looking threw scope or at a screen , and to go one step further if say you had a kestrel or such and or some ranging device you can run it to give precise firing solutions as it can wireless and use kestrel for weather wind baro and range with say Applied ballistics for firing solutions . I personally am really tried to get some videos I wish I knew more about making movies well I hope to learn . ohh one more thing that little tv does is take still pictures or movies and you can edit with it I just want movies on disk to save and I will show you guys hopefully
OK HERE IS HOW IT WENT TONIGHT
I went outside like 10:15 PM and low and behold scanning field I spotted Mr Possum @1035pm who has been tearing up my yard . well I estimated him to be 60 yards I quickly hit the switch and loaded a MP pellet , I was off hand I put scope for a brain shot and slowly squeezed trigger , What a wonderful trigger , well I aw a burst of blood and he did not move1 inch , I went inside to view the recording put in the sd card into labtop and I had the unit on lock geeze so I went up to it and assessed the damage . I see entrance hole , it really ook like a bigger hole then a .30 cal jsb does wow , These slugs get A+ for damage , just look at hole from 60 yards , I did not look for slug .I give these slugs A+ for damage see if you can zoom in on my horrible picture lol I am not a photographer
