First Impressions with the Cometa Fenix 400 USC

Hello fellow airgun enthusiasts,

I recently had the pleasure of taking the Cometa Fenix 400 USC out for its inaugural shooting session, and I must say, I was quite impressed. The rifle shouldered exceptionally well.

The ease of cocking was another standout feature for me, largely due to the large diameter piece on the end. The metal trigger felt solid and responsive, adding to the overall shooting experience.

However, I must admit that I wasn't a huge fan of the dovetail mount for scope mounting. While it did the job, I prefer a cantilever Picatinny mount for its versatility and ease of use with different optics and eye reliefs.

Overall, the Cometa Fenix 400 USC proved to be a fantastic all-around springer. The built-in moderator did an excellent job of reducing muzzle noise. The wood stock added a touch of elegance to the rifle's appearance, though I wish I had gone with the walnut stock on the Cometa Fenix 400 USC Premier Star, but you live and you learn.

I'm looking forward to spending more time with the Fenix 400 USC and exploring its full potential. If you have any questions about this rifle or if you'd like to share your own experiences, please feel free to do so!

Thank you a lot. I was just looking at this rifle, I’m contemplating buying it. Well done. What cal did you get?
I got the .22. I didn't do a crazy amount of research on it though so it wasn't a self-informed decision. I trusted some of the more veteran air gunners on the sub. Additionally, I liked the idea of having more projectile drop over distance (unsure of how true that is as I don't have anything to compare it to). I also liked having a larger caliber in case I ever needed to hunt with it.
