Mine should show up on Wednesday. Picked one up to enjoy with 14.3gr CPDs in .22. Hoping for around 750 FPS.
Side lever on the left will not bother me I moved my Gamo Urban’s bolt handle to the left side. My Pulsar and Renegade have the lever on the right and I reach over with my left hand anyways to articulate them.
Will share some impressions after I get settled in.
I like! 14.3 CPHs at 770 FPS/19FPE out of the box. Super light airgun and extremely solid feeling. Very happy and about the length of my Renegade but a fraction of the weight. Easy to work the action and draws up to the shoulder nicely. The P-Rod has some competition!
Meant to add some cons — trigger is “snappy” and a little stiff. Brocock users can relate by thinking of the Brocock trigger (I had a Concept Lite and Commander before selling and moving to a Pulsar and Renegade) and then maybe add another 25% of the “stiff” feeling. It is almost like shooting a 1911 pistol from a trigger aspect. Stiff with little travel. I dont dislike it but coming from an electronic trigger or the long pull of a Urban it is different.
From an initial impression - this is a steal of a deal and I have no buyers remorse. I usually beat myself up or second guess but at $265 to my door from AGD I cannot complain. This is a very solid feeling PCP.
The suppressor works well, it is mouse fart quiet. I had to do zero tuning out of the box other than loosen the trigger pull a bit via the adjustable allen screw.
Got to plink a bit outside, I like! Put a lightweight CVLife scope on there. Assuming I do not have any issues this was a good buy. Quality fit and feel makes this a really solid feeling PCP nothing feels “cheap” or junky. All in all compared to my more expensive PCPs this is easily a 4.8 out of 5 stars gun!
Got the trigger adjusted some but it is still a bit stiff and hard to be dime-group accurate like I am used to with my Pulsar and Renegade electronic triggers. The trigger is not spongy and has a crisp break but it is just me being less accurate overcoming the trigger squeeze. All in all still not disappointed.
Just switched off a tree rat with one shot while it was on the run at 20 yards. Notos makes for a great rapid shot system for target acquisition in a hurry.
14.3 CPDs at 20 yards with a CVLife scope seen above. First pest down with the Notos.
