First impressions of a .25 Cricket bull pup

I shot a Cricket today and all I can say is WOW! What an amazing air rifle! I'm sure a lot of you know this already and I have read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of video but I had no idea. Like a lot of you, I am waiting for the reviews of the Wildcat, I'm sure it's a fine gun, I hope so, I want one, but if not, I know what I'm going to get.
This gun belongs to a friend of mine who is an avid shooter and has recently gotten into pcp's. We shot some JSB 25.4's over the cronny and it recorded 975. It is shooting one hole at 35 yards, we haven't gotten a chance to do anything long distance yet, so it's yet to be determined if its going to halve to be slowed down a bit. He has a variety of pellets ordered so there is a lot of testing to do but so far i am very impressed.

Scuba that gun is shooting a little hot for the JSB Kings. The Kings usally perform best at 920-930. BUT if you guys want to try an arse kicking pellet at that foot pounds (53) get a tin of the JSB Kings Heavy 34 grain. At 53 foot pounds it will shoot 845 FPS and the heavy carry a better BC.

I agree, the gun is a little hot, we're going to play with it and see what it likes best. He has some 34's coming, we'll see what they do, thanks for your input.

When my 25 cal. Cricket arrived it was shooting JSB 25.4 at 1000 fps for 50 shots from a 220 BAR fill. I was going to have it tamed down until I went to the range. It will give me 1.5 to 2 inch groups at 100 yards all day long. I left it alone

I love mine and you right on the money Key, mine is set at 932 fps ave. and with the 25.4 man that thing rocks I love mine. Just wish sometimes I could lighten the pounds off this thang lol. Mine is heavvvy with all the accessaries on it. Day and night set up pretty much all the time is left on the gun plus the camera and mount too. But I love it anyway. Worth every dollar I put into it. Earlier I mentioned that when it came form the factory my 25 Cricket was shooting JSB kings at 1000 fps. Now almost a year later it has settled down and shooting them at 965 fps. Half inch groups at 50 yards are commonplace and at 100 yards you can always get the shots within 1 1/2 or 2 inches.

Congrats on the cricket .25! I went from a Discovery to a .25 Cricket myself last year. A year later it still amazes me. I love it. I almost went with a FX Boss .30. Took me over a month to decide . I do not regret my choice, I love it.
