First Impression of Tuxing double cylinder vs single cylinder yong heng

I've had my single cylinder yong heng for 3 years filling scba tanks to feed my Texan...I've replaced the piston various times as well as change out the valves in the head..It has worked with effort.... My friend just bought the double cylinder Tuxing off of amazon...I went over to help him setup and fill tank first time....Wow...It builds s pressure fast........At least half as loud as they the single cylinder... Heat isn't A issue like with single cylinder either... I didn't really want him to buy it......butt it seems far better than the single cylinder...... I wouldn't of believed until I ran it.... All I'm impressed.... I might have to eat crow....He also bought a Chinese carbon fiber tank and valve from Amazon.... It worked fine...I advised him to go with regular scba tank...buying adapter from cga347..A little too much for him....Anyway s the double cylinder is way better than my single cylinder yong heng.....The Chinese 4500 psi tank and valve were ok too...

The one in the cage with auto shutoff. Still use water pump and 5 gal bucket.. I think he paid $400.00/something.. I have been watching the them on alliexpress with free shipping... When I get funds tore between the basic double cylinder tuxing compressor or the altros booster...... till then keep fixing and using single cylinder yong heng...

That's the 032. I've got one. I highly recommend SECO 500 oil and do not believe the oil interval change, go shorter

The description at Amazon says this unit draws 2200W and can run on 110V or 220V. That would be a lot on a 120V circuit. The Yong Heng is rated to draw 1800W and is too much for a 15A circuit IMHO. The ratio of the watts is probably about right for the additional air supplied by this unit. Roughly 20% more. Quieter with more air would be nice.

Do know that both the Yong Heng and the Tuxing are 2 stage compressors. The both have "two cylinders" for compression, but they are arranged differently -the Yong Heng style runs both at the same time off the same piston rod (stacked vertically) , and the Tuxing style offsets them around the crank arm, which uses more parts and costs more, but spreads the loads better and allows for better heat management.

But since both are two stage compressors, they both are compressing the air massively in both stages, and that is why they have a hard time managing the heat and tend to burn out quickly (long lived dive compressors run three or four stages). That said, if I had to pick the design that is likely to hold up more over time out of the two it would be the one with offset stages - but of course other factors matter too . . .
