@quad82 that is good to hear. I knew it shouldn't be an issue, I guess what I meant was something that was shooting well, because the round ball wouldn't get me there. The fact that the 350 mold is shooting well for you is exciting to hear. As I'd like to start doing some casting.

Good eating hog right there! Since that barrel shoots those Hornady round balls well, you probably have a good barrel and can also group one of the NSA slugs well. The NSA 196, 220, and 240 slugs all fit the magazine.

I'll try them and see which ones I like. As easy as it is to double load, I'm not as worried about how they fit in the magazine. But if I get smarter it would be nice to be able to use it

My 45 cal AEA bull pups bore slugged at 461 ,I never could get decent accuracy till I got a mold from accurate molds that dropped 280gr slugs at .460 dia , still experimenting with lead - tin combinations to get .461 - 462 slugs.

I received an old Lyman .457 292 gn mould today. Dropped 100 slugs this afternoon and picked 13 out of the group. They all weighted in between 300 and 304 gn. Not bad I figured for pure lead. Took the .45 AEA Challenger pup back to see how they shot. No sandbags, just laying the rifle across the bench. Was more interested in fps then accuracy at this point. Again as my other slugs, 3000 psi seems to be the prime fill. The first and last few shots were low. But shots 4 through 11 show promise.

Looks good. Do you have the power washers in yours, or is it stock? I'm guessing you are having to single load these?

The rifle is stock. Wanted to test a bunch of different ammo before doing much to the rifle. Then I would like to get the washers and see if I can get a little more out of it. The slugs are just a touch too long. About the thickness of a matchbook. I definitely need to work on the trigger. Have you got to do any more hog hunting?

Nope... Been down with the vid... But I think we're going to Ok again in April... Don't know if I'll get to go before then.
