1. As you can see it all depends on min and max magnification. I would not buy ffp scope with very wide range of magnification like 2-30 as reticle would be usable from x10 or so.
2. Keep in mind what will you use the scope for. I use mine for fanged from 10 up to 50m and I click turrets a lot so vortex fulfills it’s purpose really good. For long range shooting On known distances I would choose SFP scope where thin but visible reticle is a must and turret adjustments are used once for setting poi only.
3. higher magnification means better glass —> more expensive
There are more variables, different for all of us but I would not reject FFP or SFP without rethinking what do I really need...
