First ever shots from Pulsar

First time I ever shot this rifle, or any pcp rifle for that matter. These 10 shots were taken at just over 20 yards,just resting on a bullbag which was on top of a garbage can . Not the best for sure, but I wasn't really settled in at all like I would want to be, but I just wanted to shoot this thing to see how it felt. AOA's target they sent me was basically a one shot hole group with this gun from 20 yards with .22 JSB 18.13 Exact Heavy Diabolo's. Gun set on high power. I used a random tin of pellets which were the H&N 18.21 crow magnums. The JSB's always shot good from my Trail NP, but I'm down to very few, and didn't want to shoot them all yet until I got to a good solid rest. Gun was set on high power. I'll have to group test this gun at the medium and low powers also to see how that goes, once the JSB's are here. I ordered 4 tins of the JSB's from Pyramid.

That's good for how you shot it.
I can't wait till you find a steady table and shoot another group with the rear butt stock rested on an eared bag and gently squeeze the rear bags ears with your free hand as you take the shots. Took me a while to get that down pat, but it cut my group sizes in half. Doubt you'll find anything better than the 18.1 JSB's.

Edgun West's version of the JSB's are pretty darn good too!

"rut"Couldn't hold off on not shooting the JSB's, so I went back out and fired this 5 shot group. Head of pellet facing us for reference. Yeah, the JSB's always shot good from my Trail NP. Plus, AOA said it shot best from this gun. Future rat and dairy farm pest killers.

Nice group! Jimmy is right, better order a sleeve, you will be shooting a A LOT! Glad you like the rifle. The Renegade or Pulsar is on my wish list.

I've the .177 pulsar and it shoots the same - one hole groups at 25 yards, and did manage a one hole, 5 shot group at 45 yards last week. I suggest single loading- the mag works great, but in a field target match, I noticed two fliers. Spent some time at the bench, and sure enough, every 20-25 shots, one pellet would walk away about 1/2" at 40 yards.
jsb's are the favorite pellet, for certain.
