Take another shot at tuning it, these have a different valve on them and you may be above its sweet spot. Back the regulator down a bit, or up and see what it does.

Exactly...Why take off the barrel band ? ......and then expect a long unsupported rail not to flex ?
Looks like going out of the way to create a problem to me.

I'm very interested to see the same video from the OP, but with that "bridge" or shroud support or whatever is installed as designed.
The Arca rail is what is flexing on the rifle. The barrel is stiff to the receiver so you shouldn't see much issue with any POI issues. You will more than likely wear a mark on the shroud/plenum after a while.
The ones up here in ND haven't had any issues with the flex and you know FX has a fix or something in the works. Much like the carbon additions and other things for the M3 that they came out with.
I agree. Problem solving issues can turn in a rat chasing its tail. Does me good to take it slow and don’t get paralysis of the analysis.Exactly...
Yeah, I definitely need to spend more time with. Just sharing preliminary results, so take it for what it’s worth.Take another shot at tuning it, these have a different valve on them and you may be above its sweet spot. Back the regulator down a bit, or up and see what it does.
Fanboy ? ....heck there's not been an FX gun that interested me in forever and I actually been critical of FX style for sometimes, but seems that people now are grasping at straws to complain and this thread sure is that wayFunny to see all the FX fan bois in full force lol. The last part of your post is the best part, oh the irony![]()
Wasnt really directed at youFanboy ? ....heck there's not been an FX gun that interested me in forever and I actually been critical of FX style for sometimes, but seems that people now are grasping at straws to complain and this thread sure is that way
That’s been addressed a few times in this thread. It’s not a barbell band, and it’s not designed to contact the shroud. Purely just a piece for adding accessories.Exactly...
I don't know which of the following is worse:Fanboy ? ....heck there's not been an FX gun that interested me in forever and I actually been critical of FX style for sometimes, but seems that people now are grasping at straws to complain and this thread sure is that way
It was tunned for that speed with the 61.5 grainers. Not just slugs randomly througn it. Groups were way worse than what is pictured before tunning to that speed. The band bolts to the shroud... Then goes all the way around the barrel, not touching the barrel.. and bolts to itself again. It adds nothing. It's not a support.
But I really don't see the flex being a issue.
Yeah it's really not a issue.
Curious to see him actually find the accuracy nodes and get the gun shooting well. Not surprised to see a fresh liner that hasn't been clean and leaded in ... No tuning whatsoever... Shoot all over with some slugs just thrown at it. Slugs ain't pellets. They take some finesse
It does the same thing with the top piece on. It’s not a barbell band, and serves no purpose other than as a space to mount accessories to.Why take off the barrel band ? ......and then expect a long unsupported rail not to flex ?

Imo the issue is defending bad design and attacking others that disagree, which happens a lot here. I dont mind being the "worst guy" I have a thick skinI don't know which of the following is worse:
-being an actual FX fan boi -OR-
-being labeled an FX fan boi the second you open your mouth to say anything positive about anything FX -OR-
-being the guy that calls everyone that has a single positive thing to say about FX an FX fan boi
There is also the variable of the shooter. For a lot of people those would be good groups, and for others they need tighter. But for right out of the box first impressions I think the OP info is reasonable, maybe even realistic. We already know the Panthera will be a laser in most cases.I guess the real question would be if you base your position on one rifle or wait to see what others may have to say. The video I posted earlier shows an extremely different perspective in comparison to this rifle, albeit .25 versus .30.
If you have any experience with slugs you know they are not pellets and to that fact shoot like them. One can shoot pellets exceptionally well and may not have the same success with slugs.
I am definitely not negating the OP’s experience with his rifle but just not making an overall decision on all of the rifle’s because his isn’t what he expected. Sometimes waiting is better than being first…
