First Compressor Buy

Check out Biohazardman's Yong Heng past posts! It's like the "bible" here of YH care & maintenance. Keep it cool with fans & water, advise changing oil after the 1st hour - hour & a half of run time to clear any contaminants or debris from crankcase. Should be smooth sailing after that. Do you have your oil/water filtering in order? That's a MUST to keep air as dry as possible. Good luck & don't hesitate to ask questions here.

My first compressor was a Omega Trail Charger which I bought when I purchased my first PCP rifle, a FX Maverick Sniper in 2021. Since that, I've purchased a Daystate Red Wolf HP and a Brocock Atomic XR. The Trail Charger does a fine job refilling the PCP guns I have, but the Atomic XR needs filling often as I'm using it on the highest power setting and getting around 30 shots per fill. The Trail Charger will refill the XR in 90 seconds. But I decided to buy an Omega Patriot 75 cu. ft. with HP3 valve air cylinder from AOA, and then added an Omega Turbo Charger compressor to fill the cylinder as my local dive shop will not fill to 4500psi and it takes to long to fill with the Trail Charger. I don't find myself using the Trail Charger anymore. I have about 4 hours on it and if I could find someone local to sell it to, it would be gone.

Where are you located? I'm getting ready to buy my first PCP rifle and have been going back and forth between the Trail Charger and a Nomad III.
