I guess the Tanto is quiet enough, as this guy showed up and posed next to my sight in target - I don't have that much self control - so,

Oh I hear the self control part. I've had the exact same thing happen when I sighted in my jumbo 25 at its 50 fpe tune. 3 showed up within 10 minutes of each other and I couldn't resist!
It's getting light here on tree rats now.

Same thing happened to me, sighting in @ 50 yds, young squirrel ventures out on tree branch overhanging shooting lane at 20 yards to watch! Gave a pass, deal is as long as everyone behaves, except for crows and armadillos, free to live your life. Doubt squirrel even associated what I was doing with danger, noise of pellet hitting target didn't seem to bother. WM
