I got a RWS Diana 54 Air King. The only free scope I have around is a cheap UTG 6-24x 44 AO, so I mounted it. I ran a few pellets across the chrony to see what it's doing. I'm getting about 20 fpe with 14 grain pellets. The most important thing is that at 35 yards it's as accurate as a PCP. I thought it was going to weigh about the same as my D48, but this thing is heavy. No problem, just a surprise. I need to adjust the trigger for more first stage because it's almost indistinct. The trigger pull is okay I just have a few misfires because I'm waiting for the wall of the second stage and it's just too soft. For a while I thought I was cursed because every time I found a good deal on a D54, I had just bought a PCP and was out of airgun allowance for the month.

Here are some pictures that the seller sent me before I bought it. When I get the chance I will post some pictures of it on my fieldpod and maybe a target.

That springer is gonna suprise You! With all the pcp rage, folks tend to dismiss the Good spring piston guns. Mine favors the JSB 18.1's also,is Dead Nuts accurate and packs a Wallop! I primarily bench it or hunt in a stand. A D56 stock is on my want list although the 54 stock I received is above average.

This is truly one that I will Never part with! Enjoy!!

Mike.

PS, The only regret regarding this rifle is that I didn't buy it Sooner.

I agree . I love my PCP stuff but when you factor the $ in a springer makes a lot of sense especially for hunting. I shoot a lot so the PCP I justify for that reason. I have more expensive powder burners that rarely are used. I like them both. If you learn to shoot a springer well a PCP is a walk in the park. I love the side cockers or the under barrels

I have other springers and I haven't been shooting them lately. 9 out of 10 times I grab a PCP, but I wanted a springer that I can shoot easily that's close to the accuracy of a PCP. In the past it seemed like every time I saw a good deal on a D54, I had just bought a PCP or made some other purchase. I finally found one for a great deal so i jumped on it. I'm planning to shoot it mostly in my backyard. I haven't hunted a long time and I can'y stand just paper punching. When I'm not in the backyard I mainly do long range plinking 100-200 yards so I normally shoot a PCP.
