Finally!

It should do low 900’s as is. It’s rated to do 65 FPE and will be close to that in stock form. I highly recommend the Donny FL speed dialer unless you want to just set and forget adjusting the hammer spring. It’s great for holding a nylon washer to put more pressure on the hammer spring and get a little more power from it. I would think if you did the washers or a stronger spring and added a power plenum you would see 70 FPE or a little better. My .25 compact will do 50 FPE with those two mods and my .22 long does 53 FPE with them added. Congrats on the new Taipan, I know it will be a laser!

Your .22cal, is that a compact, standard, or long Vet?

Where can I get a power plenum?

Matthias

Its here! Love everything about it so far. Shoots 34gr jsb in one hole at 50 yards at 880fps. Stock goes up to 920 but accuracy was OK for hunting, but really tightened up at 880. I went with an Element Titan and seems to be a good choice from what I can tell. This is a wonderful gun out of the box. Highly recommend. Get the donnyfl speed dialer to it seems to work flawlessly.

It’s a .22 long. Talon Tunes usually has some power plenums for sale.

Really nice rifle, I considered getting the .25 when I bought my .22 long and almost wish I had for the extra FPE. I have a Bulldog .35 now so it’s not needed as much as when I bought the 22. I now have three Vet’s and I would highly recommend polishing the barrel on the one you have. I guarantee you will be able to send those 34 grain JSB’s a little faster and still see good accuracy after the polish.

Ive been thinking of adding a plenum, maybe a huma just to have the stock reg as a spare. I will certainly add a good polish to the bore as well! I tried some 26gr fx hybrids, and lets say Im sticking to pellets. Their very tight in the bore and sloooowww. 915 max for 26gr. But honestly, I dont feel like modding this one lol. It shoots lights out so far, single digit es all day today. I tried hades, kings, and heavies and their all deadly accurate. I cant say enough good things about this gun, and Id like to thank everyone on here because of you guys I knew this gun was a winner!

Oh, id also like to add something. Usually when the hammer spring is out of tune with the reg, es goes all over the map. Not these guns from the testing I did today. I backed it down to 600fps with 20gr ft pellets and still, single digit es. NONE of my other pcps will do that. Im hooked on this gun now, enough to where Im contemplating another to convert a long into a .177 slug gun.

Well, good day with the Taipan! Center groups is 25.4 kings @ 995 fps, top and bottom ( pic is rotated…) groups were 33.95gr @ 890 fps. All at 80 yards pretty calm conditions and about 77 degrees out. 5 shots only each group. So these guns can certainly shoot! I didnt even clean the barrel. The kings would group better slowed down but I left the speed dialer alone.
