Finally took my .20 R-9 apart.

What happened is it would not release from a cocked position,lt could not go back into the firing position,stuck cocked...yea, bad.
Anyhow, took it apart and found that the cocking show had broken and become stuck between the cylinder and piston, and that prevented the barrel from returning to the firing position.
I know there is a newer style cocking shoe, going to order one.
I mentioned the above just in case someone else may have had that problem.(y)
 
No,I fired it with the barrel cocked open because "it" would not return back to the firing position, of course, it slammed shut, talking not a good thing,but I was not going to take it apart being cocked. Yes, I used a spring compressor. the broken cocking shoe would not allow the rifle to go back into"battery".
