Finally threw together my shooting bench.

Today, I finally got around to building myself a real shooting bench. Mostly threw it together from scrap wood that came with the house I bought last year. No more rickety card table for me!

30 inches tall, 32 inches wide and 46 in he's long. I went with an amphidextrous design because my in laws like to visit and my FIL shoots lefty. The wheels are 8 inches with lag screws for the axles. I need a few more washers to get the spacing right, but it works well enough for now.

I built it with wheels so I don't have to leave it out. We live in a rural area, but I don't like leaving things outside if I can help it. Plus, I can use it to roll gear out to my little range.

There are still some things I'd Ike to do with it. I need a proper pull/lift handle for pulling it around. I'm thinking about adding a shelf to aid in carrying things to my range. I also plan on lightly sanding down the top and sealing it with polyurethane.

I won't get to really test it out till tomorrow because of the drizzling rain, but I plan on giving it a real test tomorrow. The dry run is really promising though.

After I did my test run today, I have to agree. I threw my old BDU jacket down on top for today. I was able to get everything loaded up on it ro wheel it out to my little range just fine. I might get bigger wheels though.

Now I just need to get a taller chair/stool.
