One way to do it ..... Functional it may be, Unsightly it is too.

Does it look ugly ? To me not and I can install the gauge for reg reading any time and remove it if I feel I don't need it any more.

Understood and not wanting to sound negative .. it does IMO upset the flowing lines of an otherwise gorgeous air rifle !

I don't think it's ugly at all. It's the only place it could go where it wouldn't interfere with functionality. You definitely improved the overall functionality/efficiency of the gun by increasing the plenum size. I think you were limited to location, and hiding 1/2 of the plenum inside of the stock was a great idea. I'm really interest to hear about your results pre and post plenum upgrade.

Good to see some interest in improving one of the most tried and true designs in pcp airguns.
Kudos to you and your design. If aesthetics are a concern in time, I bet a redesign where the plenum is parallel to the block instead of perpendicular will make all happy. I bet it can be hidden in the stock if given enough work.

Before plenum it was doing 900 fps in .25 35 grain jsb and with plenum and without changing any adjustments, it jumped to 950 fps.
If I adjust HST the maximum I get 975 fps with same 34 grain jsb pellets at same reg pressure of 150 bars.

Normally with a plenum added the reg pressure setting can be lowered for more efficiency and better shot count (generally speaking).

Final chrony results are as follows after upgradation.
34 grain .25 minimum hammer spring 875fps
Maximum hammer spring 985 fps.
Extreme accuracy at 100 yards from 890 fps to 945 fps. From 890 fps to 945 fps in no wind, the groups at 100 yards are under one inch.
I have 110 fps range for tuning just from hammer spring.
