Finally some time to shoot my RTI compact

I've been busy with work then when I get home I have my farm chores to do. Starting in the next few days I'll be cutting lumber on my sawmill so that will leave very little to no time to shoot. Today I took off work to build some fence that only took a few hours. That left me some time to shoot. I've only been shooting my RTI compact here lately going on about a year. I just love the little rifle and the barrel swap thing just about every manufacturer is doing.. I have the 510mm LW 177 barrel (I love shooting slugs in it. shoots pellets great also) and the 400mm CZ 25 barrel (great pellet barrel) I had an old HW 22 barrel I bought years ago so I machined it to fit my compact... It's also 510mm. Which it's wearing now. It's always been a great pellet barrel but back then there were just pellets..no slugs. Today I wanted to see if I could get it to shoot 22 slugs.. before I machined the HW Barrel a few weeks ago I pushed a slug through it.. it had no choke.. and was checking.217. I have some .2165, .217 and some .2175 NSA in 17.5gr and 20.2gr on hand.. it shot the .217 17.5gr and the 20.2gr right there with my 18gr pellets.. I had to up the reg from 100b to 125-130b and a small hammer spring adjustment to get the slugs to shoot... But yeah it loves them. In the end though I set it back up for the 18gr pellets for the job it has as of now.. starling duty.. I do plan on using the slugs when squirrel season comes in though.. all in all it has been a great day..

I have some AA 18's but haven't tried any yet. Right now I'm shooting the FX 18gr
I can't help but think the AA & FX 18gr pellets should be basically the same, coming from the best dies JSB has. We ordered four 500ct tins of FX 18s, 1 tin of FX 25gr, 4 tins of FX Atomics, 2 boxes each of NSA 23gr & 20.2gr slugs and one box of his 17.5gr slugs. If the weather allows we'll be testing and comparing them this weekend at 50yds.

While waiting for a replacement shroud, my prophet morphed into compact format.
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the set up.
Air arms, don't actually own any JSB dies, they just have a agreement that all AA pellets come from certain die numbers. I have seen the same die numbers on JSB and AA tins.
Somewhere down the road, these dies will need replacing. AA shooting teams provide the feedback, batch, die numbers etc currently shooting well.
