Well I finally sighted in my new Daystate AirWolf with it's MTC Viper Connect 3-12x 24mm scope. The rifle is very light with this scope and carbon fiber bottle...within a pound of my Vulcan in this configuration.

I sighted in on high power at 20 yards shooting JSB Exact Jumbo Heavies 18.1 gr. chronographing consistently 965 fpe +/- 5 fps. Sighting in was accomplished within one mag or 10 shots and one ragged hole at 20 yards. On high power the sound is certainly quiet with the Hugget moderator but not silent either. I would compare it to my Hammerli 850 CO2 shooting 22's 640 fps. On low power 30 fpe, it is nearly silent. Guess this is the mouse fart silent that everyone talks about. The electronic trigger is amazing. It has a clean first stage and then just like clicking a computer mouse and she fires. Cycling pellets is accomplished by simply flicking the bolt as it does not cock the electronic action...it simply indexes the magazine and pushes a pellet into the bore. It was very easy for me to maintain my target in the scope and cycle shot after shot. Regarding the scope, It definitely is different with the near zero eye relief. It seemed to hold POI with the 100 shots I fired today but it is going to take some adjustment on my part to get used to holding my eye on the eye piece. I kept creeping back losing the full view of the scope. It does have amazing field of view...nearly twice that of my Hawke and Aeon. The jury is still out on wether the scope will remain.
So I moved my target out to 40 yards and this is the best I could do using my workmate and bean bags as a rest. In my defense, there was a variable left to right breeze of about 6 mph.

Each group is 5 shots and ranges from my best of 1/4" and 3/8" to the worst at 3/4". On the right target near the center top, I was just emptying the magazine. I am happy for my skill level but the inconsistency is what confused me somewhat. I could shoot one group and watch each pellet strike exactly in the cross hairs and then repeatedly through the same hole and then they seemed to have a mind of their own wondering a bit. Maybe I am expecting too much but I really did take my time with each shot. As far as accuracy for me, it is certainly acceptable but I Have to say that my Vulcan is just as accurate at this range and more consistent...at least initially when I first shot it.
Overall though, I do love the feel and shooting the rifle...definitely a keeper and anxious to varmint shoot a bit. Accuracy wise, I just was thinking of Daystate as the pinnacle and somehow imagining the rifle to shoot itself 1/2" groups one after the other at 50 yards...still comes down to the guy on the trigger!
