Finally “in the club”. HW77 special edition coming my way!

My lady was really good to me this year for Christmas. Not only did I not get coal, but coming my way from Krale will be a .22 Weihrauch HW77 special edition. Now time to look for a good scope, rings, and a mount. It’s been great reading all the information here and I’m looking forward to setting up my new rifle. Can’t tell you how thrilled I am!

I have that same gun in .177. Love it. Very accurate.

As Brad has stated, they are very accurate . You will enjoy setting it up but shooting it is where it's at!!

Got mine in last week and enjoying it very much. Had to try several different pellets before I found what it likes but now its very accurate. Keep and eye on your stock screws as they have a tendacy to work loose and your accuracy will suffer. as it settles in that should not happen as often. I ended up putting the blue loc-tite on my screws and havent had a problem since. Send a pic when you get it in, they are pretty guns. I've never shot the Air Arms TX200 but Its gonna take a tack driver to beat the HW's.

Got mine a month and a half ago. I have been fooling with pellets also and H&N field target trophies in 4.51 have been the best so far

Congratulations on your new gun. Wish they would put that beautiful stock on the 97 for a special addition.

I have an Air Arms TX200 MKIII in .22. Nowhere near as easy to shoot as accurately as Weihrauch's. I am gonna try it again with another scope I know for a fact is good. SWFA SS 16X.

Any ideas as to why? My hw97k is my most accurate springer by far and I have no experience with the TX. I’ve read that the TX has a much longer stroke than the hw97k. Given the competition pedigree of the TX and the hw97k I assumed they were very similar in terms of accuracy.

EMrider, I've a feeling that the TX200 and HW97 respond to different shooters in different ways! A lotta factors in play, I think. If you are fortunate enough to have two, as Brad has been, there's generally gonna be one favored over the other. And for each fella who prefers the TX over the other, there's another who will be the opposite! I chose the TX first based upon the opinions of those I trust. That said, in the near future, I will have a preference of my own!

I will observe that I need to be on top of the tightness of the stock screws on my TX200. ..even tho I use Loctite 242 on them.
