A week ago my security cameras tripped near my storage shed and I went out with my 7 FPE PP700, in the heat of moment I totally forgot how much I need to hold over for 5 feet and completely missed it while damaging a PVC pipe. In utter shock that POS climbed all the way up to my roof straight up my stucco like spider man, so shocked I forgot to try to shoot it till it’s too late. so I put out more traps and nothing for over a week!
Last night my security cameras tripped and as soon I saw the 2 reflective eyes on the camera preview I jumped up and grabbed my 1720T with red light. Got to the shed as quietly as I can and put the red dot 1 inch above its body and POP! The pop it made is surprisingly loud and very satisfying! By now it’s wiggling and flopping around so I put another 4-5 shots into it as revenge and practice for hold over at that distance, think I got it done pretty good now. I shot it another 4-5 times after it stopped moving….gotta be sure ya know! LOL
It rained all night so the rat looks soaked but it’s a fat black rat.
My 1720T tuned to shoot 5.6 grain lead free pellets at 500fps or 3.1FPE, very effective at very close range and minimal damage potential. It along with a clamped on 5 dollar amazon red light is my rat CQB specialist.
