Finally Got My Escape UL

It always seems to take for ever from the time you hit that submit order button to the day it arrives. This is y first Semi High end rifle. I wanted something that was lite weight and lots of power. This rifle should fit the bill. Ive read that you can really get some power out of these with good accuracy. Hoping today to get a chance to air up and zero it in. This is the Airforce Escape UL with the spinloc valve. I also got the heavier hammer with slap mod, a TT trigger spring and a TT Condor 14" moderator. I wanted to keep with the lite weight so I got a UTG Bugbuster for it.

How are you liking it so far, and how do you like the TT moderator and hammer slap mod? I've been debating getting the same set up for a long time.

I love this rifle. The moderator seemed a bit big to me at first but it's pretty lite and makes the rifle stupid quite. All you hear is the sound of the action.

The hammer gives definitely more power but the slap mod doesn't make a giant difference but does make it a bit more quiet. .

I just got a 380cc tank for it, I haven't gotten a chance to install it since I'm dialed in for turkey season I don't want to change anything yet. I also just made a ammo holder and it's so sweet.

On the UL version this moderator can handle up to a 20" barrel. I don't think this would work on the standard escape but should work on a escape ss with a 24" barrel.

The UL is very powerful. I can do 104fpe with 55.5gr slugs. I have it setup doing 1000fps with 28gr H&N hunter extreme. That's 62fpe and I can get 15 shots per fill on the stock 213cc tank. Full power I only get 5 shot per fill

My next rifle will be a talon ss with a 9" TT moderator.

Then I can swap parts across the two rifles. The 14" moderator can go on a talon ss with a 24" barrel.

Love my Escape UL. Ordered mine originally in .22 cal because I had a Condor in .25. Recently sold the Condor and ordered a .25 cal barrel for the Escape, and just getting it dialed in now with the new barrel. I would love to take mine out after Turkey, but Georgia requires .30 cal or bigger for big game including Turkey. Air bows are allowed for Turkey in GA and my Umarex Javeline will arrive today for testing.

I plan to keep my Escape dialed down to about 55 fpe with 33.5 gn NSA slugs for small game, with the ability to dial it up at any time if something bigger (pigs, yotes) comes my way. At 55 fpe, the Donny FL Tanto, while not "mouse fart" quiet, still allows me to shoot in my yard and doesn't add a lot of length to the rifle.

Your ammo holder looks pretty sweet!!

I am planning on getting a 22 & 20 barrel for my escape, I like the fact its versatile and easy to swap. The moderator I have on mine adds 9" to my over all length but I it can fit a 20" long barrel under it so I might get the 22 & 20 in a 24" and have them cut down. The length seemed like a bit much at first but its not bad and the thing is so freaking silent now.

I think like you and I have my escape tuned to around 61fpe but love that if I need it I can go up to 104fpe. But at that power Im only getting 5 shots on the stock tank. at 61fpe I can get around 12-15 shots.

Let me know what you think about that javelin. I was looking at one of those a while ago but decided to not get it. California is a bit grey on the air powered arrow launchers.

If you want one of those ammo holders send me a message with youre address and Ill send you a couple. Im working on a 22 size holder also so Ill send them after I get that one done since you have a 22.
