I've been watching him for months, but could never get a safe shot. It wasn't an impressive shot at only 15 feet, but I was impressed with this NP-03. Very nice to handle. One JSB 8.4 through the back of the head, a big leap into the air, and it dropped right there.

Class, reminds me of a time (long past) 4 maybe 5 visits to the same spot , a rabbit would dash the same run, then a chum and I where walking near the spot, him with his shotgun, he passed it to me, that was it's last run.

I hope it made a nice meal.

I've been watching four rabbits in the backyard all spring and summer. They even come out midday. Our season opened November 7th and I haven't seen one since late October.

I got one a couple of weeks ago with my .22 Armada. About 15yds, one shot right between the eye and ear and he dropped like a stone, didn't even twitch.

i got a few that been coming out at night and my dog chases them out buddies dad loves to eat them so usually when the snow on the ground easier to spot them and then ill get them

That's true! I keep meaning to set up targets at those distances to get use it in terms of either holdover or clicking

I admit, I blew a shot at the beginning of the summer for that same reason. He was out at night, so it was hard enough to even get him in my sights. Lined up a 20 foot shot, pulled the trigger, and hit the dirt clear over his head. Setting a hold over for such close range is harder than I would have predicted. It's just not a natural instinct after setting your mind to longer distances.

That close, you are better off using the side of the barrel to line up the shot. I had a skunk at 15 feet away in my ATV shed and a brand new scope - the mark 1 eyeball along the barrel was what it took to make the connection.
