Never owned a "Red Ryder". Now have a set. They were 30% "off" on Amazon #AD. For about 50 bucks, they'd make fine wall-hanging if nothing else!

Finally, I can say "You'll put your eye out!" with some authority.

Congrats, I too never had my own. But have fond memories of shooting one. Did you consider getting the adult red Ryder? I am considering it.

Thanks! Yeah, the "Heritage Kit" comes with one adult, one "child". Linked to it in the OP. At about 25 bucks apiece, I decided to splurge.



Wife-n-I are gonna do some wild-west pics, and these will be perfect props.

I suffered the same problem as a kid in a small town in New Jersey in the 50's. The chief of police was the final word and he said, "no BB guns" and that was final.

I just bought myself a Daisy 901 and due to the rifled barrel, I still can't (or in my case will not) shoot BB's, but it is a fun pumper and quite accurate.

The first thing I did was blow any warranty by getting in and doing some trigger work and securing the barrel a little better.

Got my eye on the Red Ryder kit though.
