Finally drop a few starlings again with my Impact MK2

Able to tag 4 of 5 starlings at Farm Z in this episode. Short but sweet (for me at least). I was having some difficulty shooting long distances as of late, but I think I am getting back on track again shooting my FX Impact MK2, 23 gr H&N slugs.

I discussed a bit about the effect of wind on the projectile out to 100 yards. At least that was my conclusion with the POI shifting when the slugs traveling thru an area where there there are building/structure blocking and creating tunnel of wind coming across.

Hey Max, I also started dropping a few European Starlings in an effort to try and help a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers who have recently drilled out a den/nest in one of my oak trees in the backyard.

Happy they did because it gives me more targets since I have nearly eradicated the tree rats.

@dan. thanks for watching. yes with the wind meter it clearly show the wind tunnel effect from the surrounding buildings.

Nice,we got around sixty last year around my property,to try and save some of our songbirds.

@ballistic. good job. small dent in the population but less starlings around either way.
