Finally blew a breech seal - Bobcat Mk1

Yep, after about 2 years it finally let go, had some on hand but couldn't complete the install at the range with no real tools.

Got home and took about 5 min to get the new one in.

I do have a question though, the pellet probe seals against the inside of the o-ring to stop blow-back during firing doesn't it?
If so would storing the rifle with the pellet probe slightly rearward help with longevity? 
Not that i'm complaining I think I got more mileage out of this o-ring than others have!

I think so long as you keep a bit silicone grease on the probe and the breech o-ring it will be all good, I blew the breech o- ring early in my Royale but it may have been due to trying every kind of pellet, now I only use the one pellet, keep a bit of silicone on the probe and it has had a couple of thousand pellets through with no problems.
