Filling the FX Gladiator MKII on hand pump

How many strokes to fill the 685cc gladiator from 160 to 220 bar on a hand pump, hill 4 or fx 4??????

I have a MK1 Gladiator that I fill with a boosted BenJamin hand pump and it is about 60 to 65 strokes. With a unboosted hand pump you are looking at about 130 strokes.

Ok I am new enough to this I have to ask how do you boost a hand pump...?

You boost a hand pump by supplying it with about 30psi from a regular air compressor. It is recommended that you use a oilless compressor. Use a regulator to control the air pressure from the compressor to the hand pump. I recommend 25psi to 35psi. You can go higher if you want but it will make pumping harder and possible blow out seals in your hand pump. Boosting your pump will cut down the number of strokes to fill your gun by at least half. Also you need to have some kind of moisture filter between the compressor and your hand pump. The pump strokes are a little harder but is worth it. Less pumping, more shooting.
