Filling from a 310 Bar,4500PSI air tank

Oooops I thought that I saw that the tank was a 60 minute tank in the question. The curse of skimming.

Anyway my fill number is based on that being the tank size.

Sorry,

High-Bar

That at least does give him some hard numbers to reference so it's probably helpful. Indeed, the size of the OP's tank is necessary for anyone to give an estimate of the number of fills.

After doing some calculating I was amazed to see that I can only get around 5 to 6 refills out of my 4500 PSI tank by refilling my new FX Crown.

I also ran the same calculations for my Air Arms S510. I would get better than 30 refills out of this.

Now granted, I know I am getting more shots out of the FX between refills, and it being regulated I am sure makes a big difference.

I get around 35 shots out of my Air Arms before I need to top it off. The guys at Utah Airguns say I should get around 100 out of my 25 caliber Crown.

The Air Arms is also 25 caliber.

I am also thinking about going the extra and purchasing a compressor. Really not sure to get, but I didn't realize the expense.

The Air Venturi is going to cost around 1300 dollars. OUCH!!!

The Nomad would be around 700 dollars.

The two things I don't like about the Venturi is of course, the cost, and also it weighs around 75 pounds. But you can refill your 75 CU. FT. tank, and just about anything. Now I doubt if I am going to be moving this rig much seeing I have a big tank, and can always just fill it when I am going out to shoot.

The Nomad I don't believe you should be filling the large tanks with. If I was to purchase another cylinder for the FX, I would have at least 150 shots before I would be looking to refill. I have never shot that much in a month, let alone a week.

Just not really sure which was to go at this time.
