Filling a niche.

What gun would you choose if you want an accurate and powerful .177 capable of shooting slugs at longer ranges? What if you add multi shot, light weight, easy to tune and service to the list? Oh, might as well make sure it fits in a backpack and have a reasonable shot count too.

After years of searching, buying, testing and selling I think I've finally found a keeper (thanks to JWilson!!). 😬

This Edgun Matador R5M .177 equipped with huma power reg fills this niche perfectly! I'm getting 45 shots at 930 fps (NSA 15,5gr slugs) a fill, more than double that with the small 500ccm tank. And the accuracy? I'm seeing one hole groups at 35 meter, a ragged hole at 50. Did some testing at 85 and 155 meters today and WOW did I smile when I went back home. The scope is zeroed at 35 meters, with StrelokPro the gun was right at target at both distances.

I like the Spartan 300 bipod a lot. It's super easy to take on and off, light weight, and well made. It's not the most stable bipod out there but suits my use very perfectly.

Thanks - I'm going to look into it. I like how easy it is to put on and off in the field.
