filler plate for HW rear sight

I have a reciever sight coming for my HW35 and I will be removing the rear sight. At one time a cover plate was available, but I have not seen one in a while. What do you guys use, plug screws for the holes, or is there something else to make this area look better after the sight comes off?

I used black silicone to fill the holes. It doesn’t look bad and doesn’t call attention to itself. I couldn’t find a cover plate anywhere.

Black silicone, great idea! I even have some somewhere in my workbench!
