Fill whips w/o "spring"

I could swear I've seen fill whips that don't have the "spring" on the outer, but can't seem to find one anywhere I've looked. I completely understand the purpose of them, but assumed the ones I'd seen maybe were reinforced internally to keep from kinking, just a guess. It'd be a nice thing to have out in the field for some extra maneuverability. Is anyone aware of that or was I seeing things? (Very possible :) ) thank you!

I think a right angle fitting would be a safer choice . Even a very slight kink in a HP hose could make a weak spot .
