Fill station air leak

My EBay fill station has worked perfectly for a year but it’s now blowing bubbles at the air gauge stem. The stem is brass and screwed and loctited in. I thought about removing the gauge and wrapping threads with Teflon tape. I applied some heat but it won’t budge. I’m concerned about too much heat warping the brass or affecting the gauge. Any ideas about a fix? Uj

You will need to remove the gauge one way or the others. Try to heat the metal of the block the guage is mounted onto. If at the end it still cannot be loosen. Just use more force, can be a lot more. I have done it on all loctited threads and it can always be loosen at the end. The loctite I used for sealing the thread is 542. My experience is that leak can be developed over time but not always. It seems to be dependent on whether threads are fully filled with loctite.
